Let's explore what Parents have to say about us.
Our Baby Room provides a warm, calm, and nurturing environment where babies are supported to settle in comfortably with the compassionate care and expertise of our dedicated practitioners. We prioritise building strong partnerships with parents, building trust and open communication to ensure babies feel secure and thrive in our care. This collaborative approach helps babies settle in more quickly, promoting their emotional well-being and development.
We have two specially designed rooms tailored to the developmental needs of younger and older babies. One focuses on sensory exploration, with activities that stimulate the senses and spark curiosity. The other encourages physical development through engaging activities that build strength, balance, and coordination. Our thoughtfully structured environment supports every stage of early growth, helping babies explore, learn, and flourish with confidence
Our upstairs space is thoughtfully designed for both our toddlers and preschool children, providing a spacious and engaging environment where children aged 2 to 5 years can explore, learn, and grow together.
While the room accommodates a mixed age range, our experienced practitioners carefully plan and deliver creative activities tailored to each child’s unique needs and developmental stage.
Toddlers develop independence through self-serving at mealtimes, learning about emotions, and receiving support to build emotional regulation skills. Our staff use emotion coaching and mindful meditation techniques to help toddlers understand and express their feelings in a positive and supportive way.
Preschool children participate in carefully structured activities focused on literacy, numeracy, and exploring the world around them, helping to ensure a smooth transition to school. Our practitioners foster a stimulating learning environment where children are encouraged to ask questions, solve problems, and build confidence in their abilities.
Our nursery currently features two small outdoor play spaces, one at the back and one in front. The outdoor spaces are designed to support the children's physical development. Here, children can learn to ride bikes, engage in water play, and have fun with hula hoops, promoting coordination, balance, and active exploration in a safe and enjoyable environment.
Children at our Islington nursery enjoy regular outings that make the most of everything the local area has to offer. From weekly trips to the library to visits to nearby parks, museums, city farms and community spaces, these experiences bring learning to life beyond the classroom. Outings are planned carefully to support children’s interests and broaden their understanding of the world around them, helping them build confidence, curiosity and a sense of connection to their neighbourhood.
At kGems, we always put the quality of teaching children first.

Our curriculum is shaped around each child’s interests, needs and development, creating meaningful and responsive learning experiences daily.

Our menus follow NHS guidance and are developed with nutrition specialists to support healthy growth, energy and children’s wellbeing daily.

Our experienced team builds warm, trusting relationships that support confidence, curiosity and emotional wellbeing as children learn and grow.

From our green spaces to our local neighbourhoods, children explore the outdoors and connect with their community as part of our everyday practice.
