About Nursery
Located just a short walk from Highbury & Islington Station, kGems Islington provides high-quality childcare and early years education for children aged 0 to 5 years in a welcoming and stimulating environment.
Our nursery offers dedicated spaces for babies, toddlers and preschool children, each thoughtfully designed to support their changing needs and stages of development.
Through a combination of child-led play, engaging activities and individualised support, our experienced team encourages children to explore their interests, develop independence and build confidence as they grow.
We place great importance on building strong relationships with our families and creating a sense of community within the nursery. Our regular parent socials and Stay and Play sessions provide opportunities for parents to spend time together, get involved in nursery life and share experiences with their children.
One of our favourite daily traditions is our Fruit Market, where children are encouraged to choose and enjoy fresh fruit at home time. This simple but meaningful experience promotes healthy eating habits, independence and decision-making while creating a lovely opportunity for children and families to connect at the end of the day.

OUR ROOMS
Toddler Room (2 - 3 Years)
Our dedicated Toddler Room provides an engaging environment where children can explore their growing independence, develop social skills and build confidence through play.
At this important stage of development, our practitioners focus on supporting communication, emotional awareness and self-help skills. From serving themselves at mealtimes to recognising and expressing their feelings, children are encouraged to become increasingly independent in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Through creative activities, sensory experiences and opportunities to explore, our toddlers develop the curiosity and confidence that prepare them for their next stage of learning.
Preschool Room (3 - 5 Years)
Our dedicated Preschool Room offers a stimulating learning environment designed to support children as they prepare for their transition to primary school.
Through a balance of child-led exploration and carefully planned activities, children develop essential skills in early literacy, mathematics, communication and problem-solving. Our experienced practitioners encourage independence, creativity and critical thinking while ensuring that learning remains enjoyable and meaningful.
With opportunities to explore their interests, build friendships and take on new challenges, our preschool children develop the confidence and skills needed for a positive start to school.
Gardens
Our Islington nursery features a beautiful, dedicated garden where children can enjoy fresh air, active play and meaningful learning experiences throughout the day.
Our outdoor space provides opportunities for children to explore, discover and connect with nature while developing their physical skills, creativity and independence. From imaginative play to hands-on activities, we encourage children to embrace the outdoors as a natural extension of their learning environment.
Beyond the nursery garden, children also enjoy outings to local parks, libraries and other community spaces, broadening their experiences and helping them develop a sense of connection to the world around them.
